It’s said that moving house is among the most stressful things we will experience. Trying to organise all of your worldly belongings to be moved from one location to another can be exhausting, time-consuming and laborious. There are certainly things that you can do to minimise the hassle for yourself. Use our 'Who To Contact' checklist to help remove some of the stress.

Make a list of family, friends and employers who need to be notified.

Notify utility providers: Water, Gas, Electricity, Landline, TV Licence, Digital TV, Broadband, Mobile Phone providers.

Arrange for your mail to be redirected at the Post Office.

Notify your Alarm Company and ensure that you leave the new owners your alarm codes /fobs and alarm company's details.

Arrange final meter readings.

Government checklist: HMRC/Inland Revenue, Local Council and Electoral Register.

Motoring checklist: DVLA, Breakdown Cover, Car finance.

Health checklist: Doctors, Dentist, Optician, Vets.

Financial checklist: Current accounts, Credit Cards, Saving Accounts, Pension Providers, Home Insurance, Car insurance, Life Insurance, Other Insurances, Hire Purchase Providers, Loan Companies, Loyalty Cards and Online Stores.
